Developing the Lykos breed, isn't as simple as breeding any 2 dogs together. The dogs in our breeding program have been carefully and artfully selected for their health, temperament, structure, quality and type, all as equal priorities - with absolutely no wolf content. We know the colour genetics and makeup of the dogs and we have been very fortunate to produce some amazing Lykos breed examples over the years in accordance with the Lykos Wolfalike Breed Standard.

We research our bloodlines and genetics as much as possible so we can have the best chances of producing the best quality animals. Dogs are hip and elbow x-rayed and DNA tested and we may sometimes test eyes (which have never been an issue in our bloodlines).  We keep databases of the health of our lines so that we make the most informed breeding decisions. All our dogs are registered with the breed club, the Lykos Wolfalike Council of Australia.

We do lots of training and activities with our dogs and they are the main focus in our family. They have been an amazing support for our young children who have autism/ADHD. They are beloved family members we give them the best lives possible. They routinely go on bush, forest and beach adventures with us, as well as pack walks with our breed club.
