We are grateful and blessed that Mako was voted and awarded BEST IN SHOW at the LWCA Show on 15 September 2024 at 11 months old. We thank the attending voting LWCA members for this award of the day!
Mako is our stunning long coat white boy, with the looks (and size) of a big white wolfdog! Sometimes, we jokingly refer to him as Mako the White Wolf, although he has no wolf ancestry whatsoever.
He was bred by a friend of ours who raised him to perfection in a happy and active family with children.
Mako has wonderful springy gait - a way of trotting that is seemingly effortless, quick, and balanced. During gaiting, he is very light on his feet like a wolf.
Mako has produced 2 beautiful litters for us and we are so proud of how they have turned out.
Mako has been chemically sterlised in December 2025 so he will not be siring any puppies or available for any semen collections for at least 12 months. We are not yet sure yet if we will be breeding him again, and may just continue his lines through his offspring.
We love doing our photography with Mako as he is such an easy-going boy, well trained and so majestic! So can see more of him on our Instagram page!
He has an exceptional, unflappable temperament and everyone who meets him falls immediately in love!
Mako is easy going, very easy to train, calm and sociable and loving with everyone.
He has done really well with his assistance training, and helps support our young child who has autism and ADHD. He helps her during times of dysregulation before and after school and sometimes attends school pick up and drop offs. We have decided not to apply for Mako's formal assistance dog qualification due to our daughter not requiring him for this work in public places/shops, where qualification would be required.
From a young age, Mako has had a natural ability at scent work and tracking. His sense of smell and focus on the scent is amazing!
Mako has high food motivation and has been a very quick learner when we teach him new skills. He can find the remote when it's been misplaced and close the fridge/freezer door on command and much more.
Mako is a big cuddly cotton ball who loves a belly rub from everyone and anyone.
He has been a valuable addition to our little breeding program and provides more genetic diversity into the development of the breed. This little (big) fella absolutely has our heart and soul!
Mako was approved for breeding by the LWCA after he passed his health test results. His first litter was with our gorgeous Tala and his second litter was with Jenna.
