APPLICATION PROCESS

A piece of our heart and soul is put into each puppy, so each one is very special to us. We adopt a vigorous screening process and only dedicated families who are committed to training and having their dog as an integral part of their lives will be offered an opportunity for one of our puppies.  We care about our puppies, how they are treated, raised, trained and kept.

1.  ONLINE APPLICATION

Please complete our online puppy application. This tells us a bit about you, your family and lifestyle and experience with dogs.

We also ask that you text or email us photos or a video of where the puppy will be kept to ensure you have a safe environment and secure fencing.

2.  PHONE CALL

After reviewing your application and we feel happy that you could be the right fit for one of our pups, we organise to have a phone chat with you. This is so we can get to know each other a bit better and ask any questions!

3. DOCUMENTATION

After our phone call we will email you our Puppy Sale Agreement (Contract) and our puppy information pack, "The Puppy Bible".  You can go over this and let us know if you have any questions!

3.  VISIT

Our puppy owners are welcome to visit us in our family home, meet our dogs and spend time with puppies. We just ask for a copy of your ID before you visit us (for security purposes), which we also need for completing the contract anyway.

Please note: 8 weeks is the age our puppies go to their new homes. We cannot release them any earlier than 8 weeks of age.  If for any reason you aren't able to collect your puppy between 8-9 weeks old, we charge an additional fee to look after your puppy (boarding), plus to cover their food and age-appropriate training.

IF YOU LIVE INTERSTATE

We have used several pet transport companies but recently have had reasonable quotes and great service from Bay City Pet Travel for interstate flight transport.

Pups require a "fit to fly" veterinary certificate from an authorised vet when under 12 weeks old. These certificates are usually arranged at our vet at the buyer's expense which is usually only the cost of a standard vet consult.

You will need to book your pup's flight directly with the transport company at least a week before transport. Transport services base their prices on the weight of the puppy. Usually our puppies are 8-9kgs at 8 weeks old).

We highly recommend Pet Caddy to get your puppy to the airport in time for their flight. We no longer offer this service ourselves (it takes us 1.5-2 hours to get to the airport and we find it really difficult saying goodbye at the depot for drop offs!). Please contact Michael at Pet Caddy on 0419 554 495 to organise transport. He is very responsive and reasonably priced.
